State Grants

Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC) has been approved to participate in two commonly used state grants - Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant (OTAG) and Oklahoma's Promise (OKPromise, or OHLAP). For questions regarding these or other state grants, please contact the Financial Aid office.

OTAG
The Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant may cover up to 50% of your tuition costs depending upon your eligibility. This grant is administered by the Oklahoma State Regents' for Higher Education. The application for OTAG is the same application for the PELL Grant, the FAFSA. The information from the FAFSA application is sent to the state you indicate as your state of legal residence. The deadline for OTAG is printed on the first page of the paper (or pdf) FAFSA application.

The following are the eligibility requirements for OTAG:
Legal Resident in OK for at least one full year
Financial need - an EFC of less than 1,700
Enrollment in a Title IV eligible program
Completion of the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1.

OKPromise
Oklahoma's Promise (Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program) provides awards equivalent to all/or part of tuition expenses for students who complete the program's requirements while in high school. The award may be used at Oklahoma accredited public and private colleges and for certain courses offered at public career technology centers. OKPromise is administered by the Oklahoma State Regents' for Higher Education.

In order for an otherwise eligible student to receive OK Promise, they must be in pursuit of a post-secondary educational degree. ICTC does not offer any degree programs, but students do have the opportunity to gain credit toward an Associate of Applied Sciences degree for certain career majors offered at ICTC. Prior Learning Assessments (PLA) and contracts with state colleges exist to offer these credits for certain career majors. Students must be enrolled in a career major that offers these options for college credit in order to receive an OK Promise Award while attending ICTC. Students interested in using their OK Promise benefits should notify the Financial Aid Office of their intent to use the benefit upon initial enrollment.
