Indian Capital Technology Center announced a $250,000 grant from the William Barry Love Foundation to support student scholarships for CDL and health career programs across its campuses. The Foundation’s contribution will support graduates of Muskogee High School and Hilldale High School, up to age 25. Scholarship recipients will pay only $300 in tuition, with the Foundation covering the remaining cost of the program.
The investment continues the nonprofit’s mission to invest directly in opportunities that support Muskogee’s students. By reducing financial barriers to post-secondary education, the partnership will allow more graduates to pursue training for in-demand careers within their local
community.
Programs Supported:
● CDL Scholarship ($100,000): Provides financial assistance for students pursuing a Class A Commercial Driver’s License through ICTC’s four-week training program. Once the program is completed, students can sit for the licensure exam, creating a direct pathway from training to employment while addressing the region’s growing need for licensed commercial drivers.
● Health Career Scholarship ($150,000): Provides financial assistance for individuals entering ICTC’s nursing and allied health programs. The scholarship supports student recipients as they complete required coursework and clinical training, offering an affordable path for those beginning a program as well as those entering with prior college credit. By helping address the need for additional licensed healthcare professionals in the region, the scholarship creates direct pathways to well-paying careers and strengthens the local workforce and overall quality of care in the area.
The William Barry Love Foundation carries forward the vision of its namesake—longtime President and CEO of Love Bottling Company—by dedicating a portion of the company’s profits to support Muskogee’s youth and families through local organizations and nonprofits. “When we invest in our students, we invest in Muskogee’s future,” said James Gulley, President of the William Barry Love Foundation and President & CEO of Love Bottling Company. “We are grateful for the opportunity to support ICTC as they provide graduates with opportunities to skill up for in-demand careers in our local workforce.”
“These scholarships represent a meaningful investment in the success of our students,” said Tony Pivec, Superintendent of Indian Capital Technology Center. “We are grateful for the Foundation’s partnership, and for the impact it will have on individuals preparing for careers across our region.”
